Learn About Our Services

  • Our automated gate installation process begins with an initial consultation to assess the site and to understand your specific needs and preferences. Our design team will then work with you to finalise the details of your installation. Once agreed, we carry out any required construction works then install the gates, entry devices and automation system, ensuring precise electrical wiring with close attention paid to all of the smallest details. After conducting rigorous testing and calibration we provide comprehensive user training to ensure you are happy with your new system. Our goal is to deliver an automated gate that perfectly aligns with your requirements, enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of your property whilst prioritising your security and convenience.

  • All of our aluminium gates are made to order in our Oxfordshire facility. We have a range of available styles to choose from but we love a challenge and always welcome opportunities to create bespoke designs. Once the look of the gates has been chosen we create a drawing and render for you to review and approve before manufacture begins. Our aluminium gates are made of heavy-gauge aluminium and are all fully welded to ensure a strong and visually appealing gate that is built to the highest possible standard. Once made, the gates go through our in-house paint shop where they are finished in the colour of your choice.

  • Preventative maintenance is essential when it comes to gate automation equipment. Regular care and upkeep of automated gates offer numerous advantages. Proactive maintenance ensures the gates operate reliably, reducing the chances of unexpected malfunctions that could disrupt security or access. This practice extends the lifespan of the equipment, leading to substantial cost savings by avoiding expensive replacements or repairs. Moreover, it enhances safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards promptly, reducing the risk of accidents.

How often your gate system should be serviced will depend on a number of factors, but most commonly how often the system is used. In most residential settings an annual service is sufficient, whereas commercial installations tend to require bi-annual maintenance visits. Empire Gates can help to advise on an appropriate service schedule.

  • To repair your gates effectively, our team conducts a thorough initial assessment to diagnose the issue and obtain your consent before proceeding. Skilled technicians perform the necessary repairs, which may involve replacing parts, fixing wiring, or addressing structural concerns. We prioritise safety by conducting checks to ensure that all safety features are functioning correctly after any work is carried out. Our goal is to swiftly and efficiently restore your gate to its optimal working condition, ensuring your satisfaction and peace of mind.

  • We are happy to help out with any gate automation repairs, maintenance or enhancements, even if we didn’t install your system originally. System takeovers involve an initial assessment to complete an itinerary of all installed products and to carry out a full safety survey to ensure the system is safety-compliant. When signing up with Empire Gates you will also benefit from preferential call out times and reduced pricing.

  • At Empire Gates we pride ourselves on our safety standards. We are a trained and registered member of the DHF and use our knowledge and experience to advise the best ways to ensure the safety of you and anyone else using your gates. We utilise a variety of safety devices, such as laser curtains, finger guards, induction loops, safety edges and photocells, in order to protect people, vehicles and property. These devices are normally fitted during the original installation but for system takeovers that do not meet the required standards we can also retrospectively install whatever safety devices are required to ensure compliance.
